Toolhunter exists because we wanted the opposite: a small, honest index where every listing has been reviewed by a person and every price has been checked at checkout.

How a tool gets listed
We find tools through submissions, launch trackers, and reader tips — then actually use each one for its core job before anything else happens.
Pricing is recorded from a live checkout, not the marketing page — including the monthly price hiding behind the annual toggle.
A human editor writes the listing, our take, and the comparisons. Partners are labeled, and sponsorship never moves a ranking.
What we hold ourselves to
- No pay-to-list, ever. Sponsors support the site; they don't enter the index or move rankings.
- Prices from live checkout. Every figure carries its verification date. Stale data is a bug.
- Sources with every claim. Research ships with its data. Spot an error and we correct it, publicly.
- Written by people. AI helps us process; every published take was formed by an editor who used the tool.
